Boston-based GEI Consultants, a leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological and engineering firm, expanded its leadership team with the election of four senior vice presidents and five new vice presidents.

• Featuring more than 21 years of experience with complex underground structures, Dr. Giovanni Bonita, P.E., was named senior vice president and geostructural practice leader in GEI’s Washington D.C., office. He has supervised more than 100 traditional and specialized geotechnical investigations across the United States.

• Ileen S. Gladstone, P.E., LEED AP, was elected senior vice president and environmental practice leader in the company’s Boston office. Gladstone has been the licensed site professional of record on many construction projects at urban sites to manage contaminated soil and/or groundwater.

• Alberto Pujol, P.E., was named senior vice president and geotech/water resources practice leader for the Oakland, Calif., office. He has more than 35 years of experience in the rehabilitation or replacement of existing infrastructure.

• Michael J. Wheeler, P.E., was tabbed as senior vice president and geotechnical practice leader for GEI’s Green Bay, Wis., office. He has 27 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.

The elected vice presidents were: Paul J. Killian, P.E. (vice president and environmental practice leader, Green Bay office); Jamie S. Matus (vice president and geotechnical/geological practice leader in GEI’s Lansing, Mich., office); Michael G. Ruetten, P.E. (vice president and solid waste practice leader, Green Bay); Dr. Donghai Wang, P.E. (vice president and computer applications development leader, GEI’s Sacramento, Calif., office) and Daniel R. Wanket (vice president and water resources practice leader in Oakland).
