• New York City-based WSP, an international engineering design and environmental consultancy firm, acquired Houston-based national MEP engineering and commissioning firm ccrd. The acquisition enhances WSP’s national presence as ccrd has offices in Austin, Tex., Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Kan., Miami, Nashville, Tenn., Orlando, Fla., Phoenix, Richmond, Va. and Washington, D.C

Additionally, the move will increase WSP’s capabilities in the health care and science/technology, two markets where ccrd has a lot of expertise.

• ZweigWhite, a national company that enhances engineering firms business, has brought back Randy Wilburn to grow the group’s executive search division. Wilburn left ZweigWhite in 2004 after the company was sold to a private equity group.

• Bradford White announced the promotion of Jeremy Waller to the role of general manager of Niles Steel Tank Co., a subsidiary of the company. Waller will be in charge of the engineering, manufacturing, and sales and distribution functions. Also, Bradford White announced PMI Sales & Marketing will represent the company in all of southern Texas (excluding El Paso)

• Xylem Group, LLC has changed its corporate name to Xync Brands, LLC. It also changed the former Xylem product brand name – now Ryvyr — and its former Xylem Hospitality division name, which now is Xync Contract. The name changes of the Roswell, Ga.-based company take effect immediately.
