Green building and sustainability consultant Jerry Yudelson recently released his annual list of the Top 10 megatrends for the green building industry. His top trends include North American green building rebounding strongly in 2013 in terms of LEED project registrations; the continued switch to greening existing buildings; use of the cloud to manage more green buildings; continued awareness of the coming crisis in fresh water supply; and the continued acceleration of global green building movement as more countries begin to create green building incentives and develop green building councils.

Yudelson lists zero-net-energy buildings, green building performance disclosure, chemical use disclosure in green buildings, state and local green building mandates and continued solar power growth in buildings as additional key trends to look for in the upcoming year.
