The Rheem H2AC Rooftop Unit features eSync Integration Technology and delivers air conditioning and water heating from a single source. This industry-first system takes the heat removed by the HVAC system and uses it as an efficient source for heating water. It can preheat a facility’s cold water supply to as much as 125° F, which substantially reduces water-heating costs. In the first year after Rheem installed this system at a Western Sizzlin restaurant in Arkansas, the owners saved nearly $5,670 on their gas utility bill. The unit also won a 2013 AHR Expo Innovation Award in the cooling category.
