Richard Prospal, current board member and international past president of the American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE) was elected by Robert D. Burgon, chairman of WPC, and Russ Chaney, deputy chairman of WPC and executive director of IAPMO, to perform a risk assessment of a major medical facility in the Republic of Tajikistan. The World Health Organization looked to the World Plumbing Council for assistance.
