Richard Prospal, current board member and international past president of the ASSE, was elected to undertake an analysis of a major medical facility in the Republic of Tajikistan.

Richard Prospal, current board member and international past president of theAmerican Society of Sanitary Engineering(ASSE) was elected byRobert D. Burgon, chairman of WPC, andRuss Chaney, deputy chairman of WPC and executive director of IAPMO, to perform a risk assessment of a major medical facility in the Republic of Tajikistan. The World Health Organization looked to theWorld Plumbing Councilfor assistance.

"It was not easy to find an individual with the appropriate expertise and the willingness to travel a great distance to undertake the effort," Chaney wrote. "Rich's industry experience and knowledge of medical systems will greatly assist the Republic of Tajikistan."
