IAPMO R&Thas surpassed 1,200 product listings to the specifications of the International Plumbing Code (IPC).
Largely adopted east of the Mississippi, the IPC is one of numerous national and local codes governing plumbing systems in municipalities across the United States to which manufacturers may certify their plumbing fixtures and fittings.
"Although the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) listing is accepted in most jurisdictions in the United States, there are some pockets that insist on a listing to the requirements of the IPC,” saidShahin Moinian, senior director of IAPMO R&T. “Granting such a listing in addition to the UPC provides our clients with peace of mind that their products will be accepted for installation in even more jurisdictions."
IAPMO R&T is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). Its Marks of Conformity are widely recognized and represent the highest degree of integrity in showing compliance with established codes and standards.
