existing and prospective clients in the Asia Pacific Region.
IAPMO R&T
Lab, an independent testing, research and technical services company for the
plumbing and mechanical industries, has formally opened a new testing
laboratory facility in Guangzhou, China, to better serve existing and
prospective clients in the Asia Pacific Region.
Situated in the
heart of a modern commercial business complex within China’s third-largest
city, IAPMO R&T Lab Guangzhou is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art
equipment to perform testing on everything from water closets, lavatories and
bathtubs to faucets, fittings and vacuum breakers.
Now, instead of shipping their products
halfway around the world (and the considerable time and expense that goes into
it), Asia Pacific clients can ship them within their own hemisphere. General
Manager Jeff Huang has assembled a staff of engineers, lab technicians and
office personnel - all comprised of local residents.
Huang recently relocated from The IAPMO Group world headquarters in Ontario, CA,
to run the lab in Guangzhou. He has been with IAPMO R&T Lab since 1999, and
was manager of Testing/Asia Pacific Programs prior to his new assignment. Huang
holds a masters degree in mechanical engineering from California State
University Long Beach. During his 10 years experience, he has reviewed and
evaluated all kinds of plumbing products, exemplifying his knowledge of various
standards, plumbing codes and regulations. Though he is a United States
citizen, Huang was born in China and speaks the language fluently.
In addition to reduced
shipping costs and turnaround time, Asia Pacific clients can now access
comprehensive customer service in their own time zone and often in their own
language.
