Next month, the ISH show will celebrate its 50th anniversary while looking to the future by focusing on how our industry can use water and energy in a sustainable and cost-saving way. Among the questions to be answered: How can everyone be given access to pure drinking water? And how can we reduce energy consumption at home to ensure secure and affordable supplies of power for heating and air-conditioning in the future, too?

“The ISH offers answers to these problems. However, the challenges can differ greatly depending on the country or region concerned,” says Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt.

At ‘The Bathroom Experience’, more than 700 exhibitors will present sustainable, design-oriented solutions for the bathroom under the motto, ‘Water is Life.’ The world’s biggest showroom spotlights the latest design developments, together with the latest technology tailored to modern needs. Also, the sanitation industry will show how water consumption can be cut thanks to ultra-modern technology, how waste water can be made into drinking water and how easy-care materials for the bathroom can reduce the quantity of cleaning agents used.

In the field of energy, green building technologies will be presented that highlight sustainable solutions and renewable energies. A comprehensive spectrum of renewable-energy products will be at this year’s ISH Frankfurt, ranging from solar thermal energy conversion, photovoltaic, biomass, heat pumps and wood and pellet heating, to solar-aided air-conditioning systems.

The event will run March 10-14 and feature more than 250,000 square meters of exhibition space, with around 2,400 manufacturers and more than 200,000 visitors.
