Conbraco announced it has begun equipping its Apollo® cap and chain ball valves with a reverse lever handle. Changing the handle orientation can reduce the time and cost of valve installation. Often used in drain applications, Apollo® 78-100 and 78-200 Series valves were previously built with a lever handle pointing in the direction of the supply source when in the open position. In close quarters, installers had to use a nipple to move the valve away from the source in order to have room for the handle to operate properly. The reverse orientation of the new handle eliminates additional time and material required to install the valve with a nipple for proper spacing. The new handle, adopted as a standard feature on all bronze Apollo® cap and chain valves, is stainless steel with the distinctive Apollo® yellow vinyl grip. A latching option (-27) is also available.Conbraco.
