At a joint meeting between members of the RPA Standards Action Group and the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) held during the ISH NA trade show, a common North American standard for radiant heating was discussed.

John Fantauzzi, RPA technical director, described RPA efforts to date regarding the development of the RPA Standard Guidelines, among other programs.

John Goshulak, Weil McLain Canada, discussed the process the Canadian radiant hydronic industry followed to establish a Canadian Hydronics Code. The group then explored possible options regarding development of a North American radiant code, including the establishment of a U.S. code via IAPMO or ICBO, or a combined CSA/ANSI code governing both the U.S. and Canada.
