For the seventh time in Johnstone's 52-year history, the "Leadership Award" was presented to a Member of the Cooperative at the company's most recent Annual Meeting. "This premier award is being given to honor Jerry Hughes, a true visionary who strives not only to achieve his own personal best, but inspires others to do the same," stated Gary Daniels, president, upon presenting this award.
Jerry Hughes, owner of three Johnstone Wholesale Companies in Indiana, recently retired from the Board of Directors after serving faithfully for many years. During his tenure, he was chairman of the long-range strategic planning committee and a member of the taskforce that was instrumental in developing the current strategic plan.
