The University of Wisconsin-Madison's Department of Engineering Professional Development will offer the course "Process Piping Systems Design and Operation," March 10-14, 2003, in Madison, WI.

Major emphasis will be on pharmaceutical, food processing, biomedical, and other industries requiring clean piping systems. The course will cover:

  • CIP (cleaned in place) and WFT (water for injection) systems, along with fluids other than clear water;

  • Stainless steel, plastic and other special process piping;

  • Process pumps and their selection;

  • Flow measuring devices, control valves and industrial filters.
