The National Fire Protection Association's World Safety Conference & Exposition(R) recently took place at the Dallas Convention Center in May. Several new and innovative products for the fire protection industry were on display. Here are some of the highlights of the show.

EATON Corp. has announced the release of its FDM Medium Voltage Fire Pump Controller. The FDM Medium Voltage Microprocessor-based Fire Pump Controller is based on the AMPGARD controller design that incorporates Eaton's Cutler-Hammer TRITON SL Series Medium Voltage Vacuum Contactor. The SL-400 Contactor utilizes Cutler-Hammer vacuum interrupters that exhibit both a long electrical life and a high interruption capacity. Available from 2200-7200 volts, these UL/FM approved controllers utilize an Across the Line method of starting, as well as an integral space heater powered from the test plug circuit. EATON Corp.
