Tennessee has adopted NFPA 1, Uniform Fire Code™, as of June 2.

Tennessee has adopted the most recent edition of a key fire safety code, keeping the state up to date on important safety regulations. NFPA 1, Uniform Fire Code™, took effect on June 2.

Used widely across the country, NFPA 1, UFC, establishes reasonable levels of fire safety and property protection in order to protect people and property in new and existing buildings from hazards created by fire and explosion. NFPA 1, UFC, integrates the two most widely adopted fire codes in the country, NFPA 1, Fire Prevention Code, and the Uniform Fire Code.
