The International Firestop Council (IFC) has issuedFirestopping Inspection Manual, Second Edition, a pocket field guide to the firestopping and flexible rated duct enclosure inspection process.
Created as a reference tool for government and third party inspectors, manufacturers, code officials and other personnel associated with firestopping, the manual provides an overview on firestopping, building codes, field inspection, and a glossary of terms. Also included are step-by-step inspection guidelines for:
- Through penetration firestop systems
- Fire resistive joints systems
- Perimeter fire barrier systems (curtain walls)
- Flexibile rated duct enclosures
