Geberit Manufacturing, Inc. celebrated its 25th year of manufacturing and distribution of products in the North American Market with an open house at its facility in September.

In 1976, Geberit AG, from Jona, Switzerland, moved its operation to Michigan City, IN. The company started out with one product that was a modification of the primary product sold in the European market, a plastic replacement toilet tank. As the years went on, other products were developed specifically for the North American market, such as cable driven bath waste and overflows and kitchen sink accessories.

Guests at the open house included the mayor of Michigan City, Shelia Brillson, as well as members of the City Council and business development council, and members of the trade press.
