WERF Shares Ideas on Sustainable
Stormwater Practices
The Water Environment Research Foundation recently unveiled a new Website
(www.werf.org/livablecommunities) that gives engineers, designers, stormwater
managers, elected officials and the public creative new ideas on sustainable
stormwater practices. The site documents dozens of tools and strategies for
using rainwater to grow livable communities.
New Members for GMC, USGBC
Uponor announced at the recent AHR Expo that it has joined the Green Mechanical
Council (GreenMech) as a Founding Member. Uponor, formerly Wirsbo, joins
several other organizations as a leading member of GreenMech, including NIBCO,
International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) and
Watts Radiant. Separately, Chicago Faucets (CF) has announced its membership
into the U.S. Green Building Council. John Fitzgerald, director of marketing,
noted CF’s commitment to water conservation through products that incorporate
low-flow aerators, adjustable metering cartridges and sensor-operated faucets.
