Report shows design-build method the best project delivery method where cost, time and quality is concerned.

The Zweig Letter recently reported on a research study involving 351 design and construction projects that concluded that design-build is often the best project delivery method in terms of cost, time and quality.

Backed by the Construction Industry Institute, researchers Victor Sanvido and Mark Konchar from Penn State University found that design-build construction is at least 7 percent faster than construction-management-at-risk and 12 percent faster than design-bid-build. The study also found that design-build is at least 23 percent faster than the other methods and it is lower on unit costs and cost and schedule growth.
