ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) announced that it has signed an agreement with Reciprocal, Inc., a provider of digital rights management and digital commerce services, to create an online publishing resource outlet that will enable many of ASME's codes and standards to be purchased and downloaded from the organization's Web site at www.asme.org.
The Society also announced the availability of a new book titled Intellectual Property: A Guide for Engineers. The 74-page book offers information on copyright transfers, federal registrations of trademarks, trade secrets and Internet domain names.
