Uniform Plumbing Code as its first statewide plumbing code.
Senate Bill 795 requires that
“[t]he latest edition of the Uniform Plumbing
Code, as copyrighted and published by the International Association of
Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, including the appendices” be established as
part of the state building code applicable to all construction in the state of
Hawaii.

795 goes into effect July 1, 2007, and the state’s Building Code Council is
mandated to adopt and amend the most recent editions of the code within one
year of the effective date.
