Online News-Michael Graves Kitchen Collection™ From Delta Receives 2004 Good Design™ Award
The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design named the Michael Graves Kitchen Collection™ from Delta Faucet Co. as the recipient of the 2004 Good Design™ Award. The prestigious honor recognizes a leading example of a design-driven product that successfully incorporates a high level of functionality. This is the second time a Delta product was selected for the award. In 2003, the museum recognized The Saxony™ Pull-Out faucet.
Founded in 1950 in Chicago by Edgar Kaufmann and many of the pioneering greats of American and modern design, the Good Design program is the oldest and one of the most important design competitions worldwide. A model of the Michael Graves high-arc kitchen faucet will be used for exhibition this summer at the Chicago Athenaeum. Following the exhibition, the Michael Graves faucet will become part of the museum's Permanent Design Collection.
