Online News--January 30 Delta Faucet Company Day In Indiana
Indiana Gov. Joseph Kernan designated Jan. 30, 2004, as Delta Faucet Company Day in Indiana in honor of the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the first Delta faucet. The original Delta was a kitchen faucet with a unique washerless, single-handle design that revolutionized the faucet industry. Masco Corp. founder Alex Manoogian perfected the patented ball valve and triangular cam that gave Delta its name as a first-of-its-kind product.
Indianapolis is the home of the company's world headquarters and the original Delta manufacturing facility is located in Greensburg, IN. Not only is the Greensburg plant still in operation, it also recently underwent a significant expansion. In addition, the company also has plants in Chickasha, OK, Jackson, TN, London, ON, in Canada and Panyu, China.
