The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has elected six members to its Board of Directors, including Environmental Design + Construction's editor, Michelle Hucal, LEED AP, for the at-large category. ED+C, a sister publication of PME's, is the premier source for the green building industry. Other new board members include: Michael Dean of Turner Construction, Lisa Shpritz of Bank of America, Bettina von Hagen of Ecotrust, Mark MacCracken of CALMAC Manufacturing, Rob Watson of NRDC, and re-elected members Kevin Hydes of Stantec and Joe van Bellenghem of Windmill Development Group Ltd. Hucal and the other board members began their three-year terms in January 2006 at the first meeting in San Francisco.
