T&S Brass and Bronze and Bronze Works, Inc. has announced the death of its founder, George I. Theisen. Theisen had been in declining health for several years and passed away with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife, Joan; five children, Claude, Lisbeth, Clifford, Susan Washburn, and Eva-Marie Fox; and 13 grandchildren.

Theisen founded T&S Brass & Bronze Works, Inc. in Dec. 1947 and served as president and CEO until 1992. He was a familiar figure in the plumbing arena for decades, and served on many boards and committees where he earned the respect and friendship of people throughout the industry.

A private family memorial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the George I. Theisen North Greenville Family YMCA, P.O. Box 187, Travelers Rest, SC 29690, or the George I. Theisen Scholarship Fund at Greenville Tech Foundation at P.O. Box 5616, Greenville, SC 29606.
