Online News: Autodesk Revit Building Software Reaches User Milestone
On June 8, Autodesk, Inc. announced that the installed base of Autodesk Revit Building software now exceeds 100,000 seats-making it one of the most widely adopted solutions for building information modeling (BIM) in the building industry. Built specifically for BIM, Revit Building lets architects and designers work on buildings holistically, rather than in terms of separate floor plans, sections and elevations. The company says the installed base has increased due to the speed with which architects and designers around the world are making the move to BIM.
"Autodesk Revit Building has helped us design better buildings and increase client satisfaction by improving communication with our clients and accelerating the decision making process," said Douglas Palladino, Principal, RTKL Associates. "Revit Building automatically coordinates work on individual drawings and schedule views across the entire model so our team spends their time thinking about the important aspects of the project, rather than just repeating menial tasks."
