Falcon Waterfree Technologies announced the opening of a new research and development center in Brea, CA. The company offers the design, manufacturing and marketing of urinals that do not require water or conventional flushing mechanisms for proper operation. Each Falcon Waterfree urinal is engineered to conserve up to 40,000 gallons of fresh water per year, and reduce maintenance and repair labor, while creating more hygienic, odor-free restrooms.

According to Michael Higgins, vice president of research and development, the new facility includes laboratories for development of sealants, electronics research, product testing, quality control, specification verification, a molding and prototype area, plus a complete workshop. The research center also features CAD stations and a 3-dimensional printer for rapid prototyping, a graphics workstation, an extensive material research library, and a centralized document control system.
