ITW Buildex has introduced the Sammy X-Press to the existing Sammy Super Screw product line. The Sammy X-Press allows the pipe hanging trades to hang 3/8" threaded rod with direct vertical attachment in metal deck or thin gauge purlin where access to the back of the installed fastener is prohibited. The X-Press anchoring system features an easy-to-install anchor with expanding anchoring strips that collapse to prevent pullout after installation. The Sammy X-Press 20 provides 750 pounds of pullout in 22-20 gauge metal deck and will support a 2" pipe. The Sammy X-Press 35 delivers 1,250 pounds of pullout in 18-16 gauge purlin and supports a 3 1/2" pipe.ITW Buildex.
