The Viking Corp. has announced FM approval for its Grate Nozzle as a fixed discharge nozzle for fire protection. Developed in cooperation with the U.S. Dept. of Defense, the Grate Nozzle delivers a foam/water solution for underwing protection in aircraft hangars and can also be used for other applications including helipads and flammable liquid loading facilities. Grate Nozzles discharge a foam/water solution in a 360-degree pattern at a height between 12 and 18 inches above the floor. Each Grate Nozzle is located 25 feet on center the length of a trench drain and comes mounted in a grate.Viking Corp.
