NSF International (www.nsf.org) has announced a two-day conference on the application of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) in drinking water utility operations on May 4-5, 2004, in Ann Arbor, MI.
The conference will examine the impacts and benefits of using HACCP plans and management systems in the water treatment and supply industry. Topics will include the use of HACCP as a risk management tool; potential synergies of HACCP with ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 management systems; relationship to existing quality and security programs such as QualServ and EPA vulnerability assessments; and implementation case studies and potential benefits of HACCP over traditional process management systems.
