The Plastics Pipe Institute has released its online calculator design for hydronic heating and cooling, snow- and ice-melt, plumbing, fire-protection and geothermal applications. The calculator helps with proper sizing of PEX, PE-RT and CPVC pipe and tubing. It performs calculations for pressure and head loss, thermal expansion and contraction, surge pressures, pipe weight and volume, and lengths of expansion arms or loops.
