Elkay Manufacturing has promoted Elkay executives Ted Hamilton and Mark Whittington into newly created executive vice president leadership positions.

Ted Hamilton, who is being promoted to executive vice president, Plumbing Marketing and Business Development, has worked at Elkay for 24 years. In that time, he has held a wide variety of roles, with an eye toward understanding every facet of Elkay’s business. A shareholder and fifth generation member of Katz family (the company’s founding family) working in the business, he started his Elkay career in accounts receivable, and has since spent time in customer care, general and cost accounting, operations, and has held both regional sales manager and director of sales, Plumbing Products roles. For the past several years Hamilton has headed up Elkay’s Market Development group, focusing on new ways to promote existing product lines to end users.

Effective immediately, Mark Whittington is being promoted to executive vice president, Plumbing Trade Sales and Operations. Whittington first joined the Elkay team in 1999 as the plant manager in Broadview, IL. Since that time he has served in a variety of roles including director of Manufacturing Sink Operations, vice president of Manufacturing and Supply Chain (Plumbing), vice president of Sales and Market Development for the plumbing products western region, and vice president of Sales for the Plumbing Division, before stepping into his most recent role of vice president/ general manager of Traditional Plumbing.
