In late June, Boston-based GEI Consultants, a geotechnical, environmental, water resources and ecological science and engineering firm, announced its board of directors selected Dr. Gillian M. Gregory, P.E., as its new chairman. This followed Gregory’s second term on the board. She replaces Naser J. Bateni, P.E.

Gregory said she “has a responsibility to work with GEI leaders to ensure they always put client service at the forefront, while preserving GEI’s reputation as a great place to work.” Gregory started with GEI in 1986 as a geotechnical engineer out of the company’s Boston office that specialized in dam safety investigations and dam engineering.

“The board is delighted Gillian has accepted the chairman position,” GEI President and CEO Raymond D. Hart, P.E., G.E., said. “Her 30 years of service to the company and her clear commitment to seeing GEI continue to make great strides in innovation and client service will guide GEI though the next decade. The firm stands to benefit immensely from Gill’s extensive industry knowledge and nationwide experience.”
