During ASHRAE’s Annual Meeting June 27-July 1 in Atlanta, the group installed new officers and directors.

ASHRAE’s new president is T. David Underwood, P.E., and an ASHRAE Life Member from Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Underwood’s theme “Making Connections” focuses on the first goal in the group’s strategic plan and calls for connecting as a way to create vibrant, informed and engaged ASHRAE and industry communities.

Other officers serving a one-year term are:

  • President-Elect: Timothy G. Wentz, (P.E.), and associate professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
  • Treasurer: Blame W. Olsen, Ph.D., Conges Lyngby, Denmark.
  • Vice presidents include: Walid Chakroun (Ph.D.); Patricia Graed (P.E.), Charles E. Gulledge III (P.E.); and James K. Vallort.

 Directors, who will serve three-year terms, are: William F. Walter; Douglas C. Cochrane (P.E.); Roger K. Jones (P.E.); Keith A. Yelton; Erich Binder; William F. McQuade (P.E.); and Dennis Knight (P.E.).
