Nagoya, Japan-based Rinnai celebrated its 40th year of operation in North America in August. The tankless water heater manufacturer set up operations in Los Angeles in 1974 and eventually moved company headquarters to Peachtree City, Ga.

During its time in North America, Rinnai has enjoyed major growth and expanded its heating and water-heating portfolio. Key accomplishments include launching tankless water heaters in 1999, condensing gas boilers in 2008 and having all eligible products Energy Star-certified.

“We are heating and water-heating pioneers in North America. Engineering superior products is our focus and we continue to deliver on our relentless pursuit of new technologies and the superior quality and reliability our customers have come to expect,” said Takashi Sonoda, president of Rinnai America.
