After a lengthy testing process, Lubrizol’s CPVC’s FlowGuard Gold and Corzan piping systems are now listed by the International Code Council-Evaluation Service for use in return air plenums.
The listing confirms that water-filled (water distribution) and empty (condensate) FlowGuard gold pipe and fittings (1/2” to 2”), and water-filled Corzan pipe and fittings (1/2” to 6”) meet the 25/50 flame and smoke requirements for materials installed in return air plenums defined in the International Mechanical Code and the Uniform Mechanical Code.
Engineers will be able to specify the new ICC-ES PMG listing for projects to confidently ensure they only will be allowing piping materials that meet the code requirements.
