In-depth knowledge of sustainable techniques is in demand and the 13 online courses offered in the spring through the online ASHRAE Learning Institute will help professionals stay updated on the latest trends.

The spring sessions will feature the “Significant Changes to Standard 90.1-2010” course and will cover an in-depth overview of the standard and answer questions about changes from previous editions in envelope, lighting and mechanical sections.

“(The) 90.1-2010 represents the biggest change in the standard since it became a code document in 1999,” said Mack Wallace, the course’s instructor. “The 2010 standard contains more than 100 changes from the 2007 version and decreases energy use in buildings by around 30% as compared to buildings built to the 2004 standard.”
