International Code Council (ICC) Chief Executive Officer Rick Weiland announced he will be leaving the association to pursue other opportunities. Weiland has been CEO since 2006, after serving as Chief Operating Officer from 2003-2006.
Weiland served his tenure during ICC’s 2003 consolidation of three regional code organizations, forging new partnerships and alliances that expanded the ICC’s influence. “Rick guided the Code Council through many challenging years and he leaves big shoes to fill,” said ICC Board President Bill Dupler. “The organization is much stronger than it was when he first joined ICC back in 2003 and his contributions have helped put us in a position to see even greater success in the future.” Dupler added.
