Caleffi’s high-performing DIRTCAL and DISCAL separators for vertical piping are particularly well-suited for today’s mod-con boilers replacing conventional boilers. As a new member of Caleffi’s DIRTCAL family of dirt separators, the vertical version removes particles much smaller than those removed through a typical Y-strainer - as small as 5 microns.
Likewise, the new vertical DISCAL air separator is used to continuously remove air contained in hydronic circuits with very high air discharge capacity. The separators are capable of automatically removing all air present in the system down to micro-bubble level with low head loss due to the special internal shape of the separator body. Both are available in 3/4” to 1” sizes with sweat connections. The flow direction of the separators is bidirectional.
