Charlotte Pipe has announced that its cast iron was chosen for the New Yankees’ and Mets’ stadiums in New York City, where cast iron has a long history. It has been in use, and in some cases still is in use, for more than 100 years. The company notes, that, besides the plumbing, the new Yankee Stadium houses a museum and a multitude of luxury suites. The Mets’ new park, Citi Field, favors an appearance like the old Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants stadiums-including a rotunda inspired by Ebbets Field in Brooklyn that honors Jackie Robinson.
