At a recent A.O. Smith Leadership Forum, Richard Ellis, senior plumbing and fire protection designer at Blum Consulting Engineers in Dallas, TX, and chairman of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) Educational Committee, spoke about how A.O. Smith and other manufacturers can best serve engineers involved in the design of commercial projects. In his comments, Ellis cited three criteria he feels are most important to engineers like himself: product quality; a commitment to service by the manufacturer; and availability of commercial water heaters, boilers and other products when they're needed.
