The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) and IAPMO Research & Testing (IAPMO R&T) have announced the reopening of the IAPMO laboratory under the name IAPMO Testing and Services, LLC. The laboratory will be managed by Ken Wijaya, who worked previously as Vice President of Research and Development at TOTO USA. Prior to that, Wijaya was Manager of the Special Testing Department at the Gas and Mechanical Laboratory.
IAPMO Testing and Services, LLC is currently conducting testing on vitreous china and plastic fixtures (water closets, sinks, bathtubs, etc.) and will be ready to test faucets by August 1999. Additional testing equipment is being prepared to allow the laboratory to be a full-service testing facility. IAPMO testing services are offered in an attempt to provide continuing solutions that decrease the time and resources taken by manufacturers in getting their products to the marketplace.
