With direction and input from show partner International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), ISH North America has added a code seminar track to address the needs of IAPMO's membership at the 2006 show in Chicago Sept. 28-30. Topics include an overview of the updates and changes within the 2006 Uniform Mechanical Code and 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code; a seminar on the relationship between plumbing codes, product standards and product approval; a seminar on the state of plumbing and mechanical codes, locally and worldwide; as well as several additional topics addressing code issues and information. (See IAPMO box for more details.)

ISH NA is held in conjunction with the annual conventions of several associations, including IAPMO and the Radiant Panel Association (RPA). This year marks IAPMO's 80th anniversary and 77th education and business conference, which will be held Sept. 24-28 and include educational seminars, workshops and outings. The RPA conference will take place Sept. 28-30 and features seminars, a general membership meeting and full-day radiant courses. (See RPA box for more details).

The organizer of ISH NA, Messe Frankfurt, has also announced two other seminar-related changes. First, the length of each seminar will be extended from 60 minutes to 90 minutes to create the opportunity for more in-depth discussion within each scheduled topic. Second, five seminar time slots will be available over the three-day event to reduce the overlap of seminar times and exhibit hours.

ISH NA is the world's leading trade fair for the latest trends in plumbing, as well as bathroom, building, energy and air-conditioning technology. The show features nearly 500 exhibitors from 17 countries. Travel and accommodation information for ISH NA, as well as show registration, full seminar schedule and exhibitor list, are available at www.ish-na.com.
