In an effort to strengthen its commitment to communities around the world, Tyco International partnered this year with Habitat for Humanity International in building 22 new homes for families around the world by donating $300,000 to pay for house sponsorships (China, South Africa, Houston and other cities around the United States). Houston Habitat for Humanity was identified as one of the fund recipients, allowing area employees of Tyco Engineered Products and Services (TEPS), a business segment of Tyco, to assist in building a house. Approximately 150 (TEPS) employees from Tyco Flow Control, Tyco Thermal, and Tyco Electrical and Metal Products joined to construct a house for Mario and Alexandra Maldonado on Houston's Northeast side in Oct. 2005.
