Two States Approve IRC Sprinkler Requirement The Nation Fire Sprinkler Association has announced that Pennsylvania and New Hampshire have accepted the 2009 International Residential Code's requirement of fire sprinklers in their respective states. In Pennsylvania, all newly constructed townhouses are required to contain a residential fire sprinkler system starting Jan. 1, 2010 and all newly constructed one- and two-family homes effective Jan. 1, 2011.
In New Hampshire, the approved building code changes that will require all new one- and two-family homes and townhouses built in the state starting April 1, 2012, to be equipped with life-saving fire sprinkler systems.
Lochinvar Develops Library of Downloadable Revit Models 
Lochinvar has developed a library of drawings of its commercial and residential products that are fully configured for placement in Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 building information models. The library currently includes 26 drawings of key Lochinvar models of boilers and water heaters. To download the Lochinvar models, visit the "What's Hot" section on the home page at www.lochinvar.com.
They can also be located under the Products tab, by selecting "Product Documentation" and then clicking on the link under "Revit Product Drawings."
ASTM Intl. Adds Certification Capabilities The ASTM board of directors last October authorized ASTM's management to develop the capability to offer certification services. Titled the ASTM International Certification Programs, the new initiative offers the opportunity for certification of products (materials, products, services and systems) as well as personnel. This recent action is a response to inquiries for ASTM to provide certification to meet expressed needs for independent, third-party demonstrations of compliance to standards.
Zoeller Wins Award for International Trade Excellence Zoeller Co. was recently presented with the Governor's Award for International Trade Excellence, an honor that recognizes Kentucky companies successfully engaged in international trade. The award criteria included evidence of executive management and organization-wide commitment to international business; uniqueness and creativity of international strategy/plan; and overall contribution to the local community or cause of world trade. |

Raypak Announces New XFyre Condensing Boiler
Raypak introduces its new XFyre modulating, condensing Boiler in sizes from 300 to 850 mbtu. Their efficiency is 94% thermal at full fire, up to 99% part load. CPVC Chemical Waste System Conforms to New ASTM Standard F2618
ASTM recently issued a new standard, F2618, which details the performance requirements of CPVC pipe, fittings and solvent cements used in chemical waste drainage systems. This standard makes it possible for consulting engineers to more easily specify quality CPVC chemical waste systems, such as Charlotte Pipe's ChemDrain CPVC Chemical Waste Drainage system, for their clients. ChemDrain is produced in conformance with ASTM F2618 and is used in some of the nation's premier research institutions, including medical, major universities, government, pharmaceutical and industrial laboratories. WILO USA LLC has hired two new district sales managers: David Kemp, northeast; and Nelson "Rocky" Randolph
, southeast. With more than 30 years of experience in the plumbing and heating industry, Kemp most recently served as eastern regional sales manager for Laing Thermotech. Randolph joins WILO with 22 years of plumbing and heating industry experience, including 15 years as a regional sales manager for two prominent manufacturers in the plumbing industry.
Uponor Ltd. recently announced that Jerry Leyte, MASc., P.E., has joined the company in the role of commercial sales engineer.
