Elkay Consolidates Faucet Manufacturing Sites
Elkay's Plumbing Products Division has streamlined its faucet manufacturing facilities. Elkay's commercial faucet production has moved from a company-owned St. Charles, IL, facility to another company facility in Savanna, IL. The move strengthens the assets of Elkay's new commercial business unit and provides faucet expansion for the education, healthcare, hospitality and public venues segments the unit currently serves. "We determined that consolidating our faucet manufacturing facilities will enable the Elkay commercial, Elkay Residential, Phylrich and Doralfe brands to better meet our customers' demands for more individualized lifestyle kitchen and bath
solutions," comments President Steve Rogers.
Danfoss Symposium Addresses Challenges and Solutions In mid-November, more than 40 leaders in industry, finance, research, and policy convened at the Danfoss EnVisioneeringSM
Symposium to discuss critical issues and opportunities for the HVAC&R industry - including climate change, energy efficiency, refrigerants and pending federal legislation. Both the speakers and audience discussed how meeting the nation's growing energy needs with domestically produced, environmentally responsible energy is simply unfeasible. Joseph Turk [photo], president of PWI Energy Inc., stated, "We cannot wait for Congress to make changes on energy efficiency policy. We - as individuals, as an industry - need to solve the problem."
Delta Teams Up With 2009 HGTV Dream Home Delta brand will be the exclusive plumbing sponsor of the 2009 HGTV Dream Home. The three-bedroom, 3,600-sq.-ft. classic wine country farmhouse in Sonoma, CA, will belong to one winner when the sweepstakes concludes next February. The Delta/HGTV Dream Home partnership is particularly timely as the 2009 home is situated in California, which recently introduced the nation's strictest lead-free faucet law. Delta's DIAMOND Seal Technology, an innovative faucet breakthrough that was in development for seven years, meets this exacting standard.

Toilet Stabilizer
 The
Toilet Jack safely increases the weight capacity of a wall-mounted toilet from 300 pounds to 1,000 pounds. The stainless-steel jack mounts under the toilet bowl, provides a pedestal that works with the existing carrier, redistributes the weight, and reduces vibration and strain to the mounting bolts. Managers can raise the pedestal/leg for cleaning, maintaining the hygienic benefits of a wall-mounted toilet.
