With inputs up to 500,000 Btu/hr, 96 percent thermal efficiency and storage up to 125 gallons, SHIELD has everything it takes to provide the ultimate green operation – without the risk of lime scale buildup inside the tank. Equipped with the industry's most advanced stainless steel heat transfer system located outside of the tank, which provides a 100 percent defense against lime scale buildup within, SHIELD is designed to maintain the same high efficiency and low operating costs throughout its life cycle.
SYNC™ Condensing Boiler ― The latest innovative boiler introduction from Lochinvar is the new SYNC Condensing Boiler with SMART TOUCH™, an advanced touchscreen control system. SYNC combines stainless-steel heat exchanger technology with modulating/condensing combustion to deliver thermal efficiency as high as 98 percent. With models producing 1.0, 1.3 and 1.5 million Btu/hr inputs, low NOx operation and 10:1 turndown, SYNC serves a wide range of commercial applications, offering cutting-edge green technology for today's building owners and facility managers.
KNIGHT XL™ Commercial Boiler ― The KNIGHT XL Commercial Boiler, a modulating/condensing unit with an array of innovative features that make it the most advanced boiler in its class. With 94.6 percent thermal efficiency, Low NOx emissions and a fully modulating burner with 5:1 turndown, this new boiler is the ideal "green choice" for today's environmentally focused market. Equipped with the exclusive SMART SYSTEM™ control and available in five models from 399,000 to 800,000 Btu/hr inputs, the KNIGHT XL promises and delivers incredible ease of installation and maintenance.
KNIGHT™ Residential Heating Boiler — The industry's most advanced residential heating boiler is now available in both wall mounted and floor standing models for traditional hydronic space heating or radiant floor heating applications. With 12 models ranging from 50,000 to 500,000 Btu/hr and up to 98 percent efficiency, the ENERGY STAR qualified KNIGHT can literally cut home heating costs in half. The KNIGHT Heating Boiler also features fully modulating 5:1 turndown, which allows the boiler to generate the precise amount of heat to provide a consistent, stable indoor temperature while keeping fuel use to an absolute minimum. KNIGHT also features direct-vent design, which allows for up to 100 feet of air intake and 100 feet of flue gas exhaust with PVC pipe. In addition, KNIGHT is equipped with the SMART SYSTEM™ operating control, which includes a built-in cascading sequencer for up to eight units.
Power-Fin® Commercial Hydronic Boilers and Water Heaters — In 1986, Lochinvar introduced the innovative Power-Fin boiler and water heater line. While many new features have been added to Power-Fin over the years, the company has reached new heights on the 1.5 million, 1.7 million and 2 million Btu/hr models. With expanded 5:1 modulation and the addition of the SMART SYSTEM operating control with an internal sequencer, these 87 percent thermally efficient Power-Fin units deliver an unprecedented level of performance in multi-unit applications in a compact footprint.
ARMOR™ Condensing Water Heater — With thermal efficiencies up to 98 percent, inputs up to 500,000 Btu/hr, a stainless-steel heat exchanger, 5:1 modulating turndown and the SMART SYSTEM operating control, the ARMOR water heater stands above the competition. In addition, ARMOR is designed to be installed with a separate storage tank, eliminating many potential problems encountered with traditional tank-type water heaters. The unique ARMOR design protects against the harmful effects of lime scale buildup, which can cause a traditional heater to fail in as little as two to five years and substantially increase operating costs. For example, just 1/4-inch of scale in a traditional tank-type water heater can increase operating costs by as much as 25 percent. Since ARMOR heats the water and then deposits it in an unfired storage tank, lime scale buildup does not impair the unit's heat transfer efficiency, so operating costs stay low, where they belong!
